Overview

The XRPL EVM Sidechain is a parallel network developed by RippleX and Peersyst that extends the capabilities of the XRP Ledger by integrating full compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This sidechain enables the execution of smart contracts written in Solidity and the deployment of ERC-20 tokens, combining the efficiency, security, and low fees of the XRP Ledger with the flexibility and programmability of the Ethereum ecosystem.

Built on Cosmos SDK, XRPL EVM inherits native interoperability through IBC, allowing seamless connectivity between the XRP ecosystem and other modular and EVM-based networks.
